The race is considered by many to be one of the classic local short fell races and the route consists of various terrain that will test the runner’s speed, agility and confidence. Extremely muddy fields, stony single tracks, short sharp ascent to the summit, short but steep descent off the top, root-laden wooded paths, and a little bit of pot-holed tarmac. Everything you need for a fantastic little race to start off your running season.
Over 16 for the main race, over 8 for the junior race.
£5 on the day only (Junior race is free), fee includes soup and a roll.
Limited parking please car share
Please note, if it has been raining, there’s a chance your car may get stuck in the mud if you park in the field, so park at your own risk
